Overview
The Product Manager leads cross-functional execution for new product development from concept approval through launch. This role acts as the central connection point between R&D, Marketing, and Operations to ensure new products—spanning alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic products, and retail merchandise—are designed, packaged, positioned, and operationally prepared for a successful release. Once a product concept and recipe are approved, this position ensures all downstream activities are delivered accurately, on schedule, and aligned with brand, operational, and commercial objectives.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary liaison between R&D, Marketing, and Operations for all new product initiatives.
- Lead cross‑functional timelines, meetings, and communication to maintain alignment and accountability.
- Translate final R&D outputs (recipes, formulations, specifications) into actionable operational and marketing plans.
- Oversee development of all new product packaging, including bottles, cans, closures, labels, cartons, and secondary packaging.
- Manage vendor coordination for packaging components, samples, and approvals.
- Ensure packaging meets regulatory, operational, and brand standards.
- Build and maintain comprehensive product briefs outlining product positioning, brand messaging, operational needs, and SKU requirements.
- Align Marketing and Operations on timelines, technical specifications, and launch deliverables.
- Support launch planning and internal communication for new product rollouts.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, Food & Beverage, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in product management, product development, operations, or cross-functional project management.
- Proven ability to manage timelines and coordinate across multiple teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience in beverage, food & beverage, CPG, or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with packaging development and vendor coordination.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements for alcoholic and non-alcoholic products.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite) for SKU setup, BOMs, and production readiness.
