Controller

Salary $90,000 - $130,000 per year.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Controller to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting activities, including preparing financial statements, managing account reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. This position is perfect for an individual with a strong background in accounting, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for making a difference within a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, including maintaining the general ledger, processing payroll, and managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Oversee the preparation of the company’s balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Maintain the Work‑In‑Progress (WIP) schedule and ensure accurate costing of inventory and cost of goods sold.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and report variances.
• Prepare and review monthly and annual P&L statements.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
• Develop and implement effective accounting policies and processes to improve financial operation efficiency.
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting/Controller role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software, as well as a strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices, and financial data analysis.
• Proven experience with balance sheet account reconciliation and profit and loss (P&L) statements.
• Experience with Work‑In‑Progress (WIP) and manufacturing cost accounting.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, organizational skills, and a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to present financial data to a non‑financial audience.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior staff.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
