As Senior Technical Maintenance Engineer, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and play a critical hands‑on role across electrical and mechanical maintenance on site. You will lead on complex fault‑finding, support both reactive and planned maintenance, and help improve the reliability and performance of key assets. While this role does not include direct line management, you will act as a technical lead, supporting junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement across the maintenance function.

• Carry out advanced electrical and mechanical maintenance across the site
• Diagnose and repair complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and restore production safely
• Support installations, commissioning and modifications of plant and equipment
• Carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat failures
• Support delivery and continuous improvement of the PPM programme
• Complete PPM tasks to the required standard and within agreed timescales
• Accurately record maintenance activity within the maintenance system (e.g. Mango)
• Provide technical input into maintenance plans, frequencies and methods
• Maintain and support CNC machines, forklifts, LEV systems, cranes, tools and workshop equipment
• Carry out inspection, testing, servicing and repair of plant and facilities
• Support statutory inspections and report defects or compliance issues promptly
• Promote and demonstrate a strong safety‑first culture
• Work in line with HSE regulations, company policies and safe systems of work
• Apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE and Permit to Work requirements
• Participate in risk assessments and report hazards, near misses and incidents
• Act as a technical point of reference for complex issues
• Provide guidance and support to maintenance engineers and technicians
• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, HSE and external contractors

• Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
• Proven fault‑finding skills across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Experience maintaining CNC machines, forklifts, LEV systems and workshop equipment
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams
• PLC fault‑finding experience (advantageous)
• Sound knowledge of safe working practices, LOTO and Permit to Work systems
• A proactive, safety‑focused and detail‑driven approach
