Teck’s Trail Operations, located in Trail, British Columbia, is one of the world’s largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Trail offers outdoor adventure in the West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia.
Role OverviewTeck is looking for a Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) Apprentice to join our team at Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes.
Responsibilities- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Install, repair, maintain and adjust instruments used to measure and control processes and perform preventative maintenance on a wide variety of complex control systems
- Completion of Grade 12 (please submit a copy of certificate to application)
- Completion of the Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) Foundation course /Pre-apprentice and/or
- Minimum of 1 year as a sponsored Millwright apprentice
- Required to have a Valid Driver’s License
- Related industrial maintenance experience is preferred
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems is considered an asset
Pay Range: $36.56-$46.03 /hr
The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
