- CA RN Licensure - BLS - PALS - ACLS - NIHSS Certification - CNOR

Special Requirements :

- 2 years of recent OR experience in a community hospital or Trauma level 2 facility - Experience in a community hospital setting; experience to include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Urology, Robotics, OB/GYN (C-sections), Plastic Surgery, and Robotics The RNFA practices under the direct supervision of the surgeon during surgical interventions.

- The RNFA must perform only as a first assistant and not concurrently as a scrub nurse.

- In extreme emergencies, an RNFA may be expected to assist with procedures that present an unusual hazard to life.

- The RNFA may perform technical functions such as providing retraction, maintaining hemostasis, and performing knot tying.

- The RNFA may be requested to assist with any surgical cases where the use of an assistant surgeon is optional or where the role of the assistant is predictably limited. Epic EXP REQ? (Y/N) Is on-call REQ? Yes;

Provides individualized nursing care based on knowledge of basic competencies in the fundamentals of nursing and pharmacology using the nursing process applied to geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge. This position requires knowledge of standards of care, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology, including doses, purpose, interactions, side effects, and reactions to medications.
