Starting at $20.00-$21.50 per hour DOE – Open Shift Availability Required

Under the supervision of the Sack Pant Superintendent, this position supports the Sack Plant in all areas of production; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

General

• Checks sack for defects, bag weight accuracy and/or contamination.
• Verifies specialty plant products.
• Checks quality of finished goods.
• Keeps assigned work areas clean and organized.
• Operates a forklift and any other equipment required to perform duties.
• Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies, ensures that hazardous conditions are reported.
• Predictable, and Regular attendance is required. Must be able to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

• Requires basic reading and writing skills.
• On-the-job training is required to be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
• Requires basic mathematics and counting skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Able to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to operate a forklift and any other equipment required to perform duties.
• Predictable, and Regular attendance is required. Must be able to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

• Standing, walking, talking/listening, simple grasping with both hands, pushing and pulling with both hands, reaching with hands and arms below shoulder level.
• Occasionally required to bend at the waist;
  Lift and/or move up-to 100 pounds.

• Plant environment with loud noise, moving machinery, dusty, dirty.
• Outdoor weather conditions.
• Extreme temperatures.
• Wear mandatory and/or other appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
