General Labor, Secondary Operations - Req

Starting at $20.00-$21.50 per hour – Open Shift Availability Required

Under the supervision of the Secondary Operations Supervisor, this position supports the Secondary Operations in all areas of production; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Operates equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
• Adjusts equipment for product being produced.
• Feeds production lines.
• Checks material for proper quality.
• Cleans up work area.
• All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
• Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
• Predictable and regular attendance is required. Must be available for shift rotations, including weekends.

• Requires basic math, reading and writing skills.
• On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with others
• Must be able to work as a team
• Ability to operate splitter, cuber, forklift and any other equipment required to perform duties.
• Predictable and regular attendance is required. Must be available for shift rotations, including weekends.

• Standing, walking, talking/listening, simple grasping with both hands, pushing and pulling with both hands, reaching with hands and arms below shoulder level.
• Occasionally required to bend at the waist.
• Lift and/or move up-to 100 pounds.

• Plant environment, wet and humid conditions, works near moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, heat or cold (non-weather) conditions, vibration.
• Very loud noise.
• Wear mandatory and/or other appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
