Physical Therapist – Pediatric Clinic – Pleasanton, CA

OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our pediatric outpatient clinic. This role focuses on evaluating and treating infants, children, and adolescents (birth–18 years) with developmental, neuromuscular, orthopedic, and functional mobility needs. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, collaborative, and passionate about helping children improve strength, mobility, balance, and overall independence.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for pediatric patients (birth–18 years)
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings
- Provide therapeutic interventions addressing gross motor development, strength, balance, coordination, gait, posture, and functional mobility
- Treat a variety of pediatric conditions, including developmental delays, neurological disorders, orthopedic injuries, and congenital conditions
- Document evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries in accordance with clinic and payer requirements
- Educate parents and caregivers on treatment goals, progress, and home exercise programs
- Collaborate with families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and payer regulations, including HIPAA
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and quality improvement activities
- Doctorate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state Physical Therapy license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Pediatric experience or strong interest in pediatric outpatient therapy
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to build rapport with children and families
- Experience in pediatric outpatient, early intervention, or school-based settings
- Familiarity with pediatric assessments and developmental milestones
- Experience with assistive devices, orthotics, or adaptive equipment
- Bilingual skills a plus
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems
