Summary

Works under direct supervision of program management to provide functional skills training and personal care to disabled customers.

Qualifications
  • Education/

    Experience:

    High school diploma or GED. Preference for candidates with experience working in day or residential programs serving persons with disabilities.
  • Language Ability: Ability to read, write and understand English; strong oral and written communication skills; must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisor.
  • Math Ability: Knowledge and ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.
  • Computer

    Skills:

    Working knowledge of personal computers (highly desirable).
  • Driving

    Skills:

    Valid CDL and clean driving record.

Duties
  • Provides group and one‑to‑one instruction daily.
  • Provides direct personal care (including bathroom duties) as needed.
  • Assists in application of behavioral management techniques as specified in instructional plans.
  • Records data daily regarding customer progress toward ISP objectives.
  • Maintains classroom equipment and general clean‑up of facility.
  • Assists with and meets Community Care Licensing regulations (Title 17 & 22).
  • Develops and maintains good rapport with customers, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Provides transportation before, during, and after program.
  • Provides input to supervisor(s) regarding the development of individualized service plan objectives.
  • Participates in customer meetings as needed.
  • Attends required agency meetings and training as requested by Program Manager or designee.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Vision: close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus as required in driving, reading, writing, or monitoring floor activity.

Salary: $17.25 per hour
