SummaryWorks under direct supervision of program management to provide functional skills training and personal care to disabled customers.
Qualifications- Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or GED. Preference for candidates with experience working in day or residential programs serving persons with disabilities. - Language Ability: Ability to read, write and understand English; strong oral and written communication skills; must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisor.
- Math Ability: Knowledge and ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.
- Computer
Skills:
Working knowledge of personal computers (highly desirable). - Driving
Skills:
Valid CDL and clean driving record.
- Is punctual and dependable.
- Provides excellent internal and external customer service.
- Works in an ethical and professional manner.
- Has strong interpersonal skills and responds well to supervision.
- Works collaboratively and independently.
- Demonstrates respect and sensitivity to diversity.
- Possesses knowledge of developmental and physical disabilities; understands instructional techniques, behavior modification and medical knowledge; remains calm in high‑stress situations.
- Maintains First Aid/CPR certificates and meets California Community Care Licensing personnel standards.
- Provides group and one‑to‑one instruction daily.
- Provides direct personal care (including bathroom duties) as needed.
- Assists in application of behavioral management techniques as specified in instructional plans.
- Records data daily regarding customer progress toward ISP objectives.
- Maintains classroom equipment and general clean‑up of facility.
- Assists with and meets Community Care Licensing regulations (Title 17 & 22).
- Develops and maintains good rapport with customers, staff, and stakeholders.
- Provides transportation before, during, and after program.
- Provides input to supervisor(s) regarding the development of individualized service plan objectives.
- Participates in customer meetings as needed.
- Attends required agency meetings and training as requested by Program Manager or designee.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Vision: close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus as required in driving, reading, writing, or monitoring floor activity.
Salary: $17.25 per hour
