Description:
Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides specialized care to critically ill patients who require continuous monitoring and rapid medical intervention. The nurse assesses patient conditions, manages advanced equipment such as ventilators and infusion pumps, and administers medications and treatments as prescribed. They work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans. In addition, the ICU nurse offers education and emotional support to families while ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to all safety and clinical protocols.
Under general supervision, provides direct patient care to assigned patients.

Skills:

• Proficiency in developing nursing plan of care, implementing effective nursing care, and evaluating outcome of nursing intervention.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Effective planning and organizational skills in order to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously

• Strong analytical skills

• Effective skills in use of computer programs

• Demonstrates skill in patient experience and service recovery
