RN - CVICU

Maryland

This is a 13-week contract position.

Rotating shifts: 3x12-Hour night (19:00 - 07:30) and day (07:00 - 19:30).

The CVICU Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The position requires managing critically ill patients who have undergone cardiac surgeries and may have complex conditions relating to severe cardiac issues.

• Monitor and manage patients with hemodynamic instability and active management of cardiac output.
• Administer and monitor multiple medications, including inotropic medications.
• Provide care for patients post-cardiac surgery including CABG, MVR, and AVR.
• Utilize advanced equipment like ECMO, CRRT, and IABP as needed.
• Support interdisciplinary teams in delivering comprehensive patient care.

• Minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience required.
• Active Maryland RN license.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI required; OCN and TCNN preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
