We are looking for a skilled Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in Baltimore County, Maryland. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic construction litigation practice while working closely with a collaborative group of colleagues. The role combines in-office responsibilities with some remote flexibility and provides exposure to the commercial construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Handle dispute management processes, ensuring effective resolution of construction-related legal matters.
- Draft and submit motions and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
- Represent clients in court appearances, advocating effectively on behalf of companies in the commercial construction industry.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and provide sound counsel to clients.
- Collaborate with supervising attorneys to develop comprehensive legal solutions tailored to client needs.
- Manage depositions and interviews with a strong focus on accuracy, gathering essential information for case development.
- Learn and apply principles of construction law to enhance expertise and achieve independence in your work.
- Maintain a high level of organization and accuracy in all case-related documentation and communications.
- Build strong client relationships by providing clear and concise legal advice.
- Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends to deliver informed guidance.
Requirements - Admission to the Maryland Bar is mandatory, with additional admissions to the District of Columbia Bar encouraged.
- A minimum of two years of commercial litigation experience is required.
- Proven ability to conduct legal research and draft high-quality legal documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present arguments effectively.
- Familiarity with construction litigation and construction law is highly preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Motivation to learn and grow within the field of construction law.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
