Job DetailsResponsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of land use matters, including real estate transactions, zoning laws, environmental regulations, and property rights.
- Review and interpret local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to land use and real estate development.
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings, negotiations, and public hearings.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, deeds, and regulatory documents.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure legal compliance in all land use and real estate activities.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to protect the organization s interests and minimize legal risks.
- Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and industry trends related to land use and real estate law.
- Provide training to other staff members on legal matters related to land use and real estate law.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Land Use Attorney or a similar role in the legal industry.
- Expert knowledge of Real Estate Law, Legal Compliance, Environmental Law, and Legal Interpretation.
- Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret complex laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of professional ethics and integrity.
- Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
