Business Analyst – Remote

As a Business Analyst, you’ll be part of our IT Engineering team working as a remote employee. You’ll get to:
- Provide technical leadership in the development and support of engineering business systems.
- Maintain and support the applications, servers and clients surrounding Computer Aided Engineering, Computer Aided Design and Product Lifecycle Management tools.
- Work with Engineering business to define needs for enhancements.
- Manage enhancement delivery, including working with stakeholders and IT personnel to document, gain approval, and oversee delivery.
- Communicate clearly with Business stakeholders and leaders as needed.
- Assist with vendor management including contracts, maintenance renewals, purchases and evaluations.
- Assist in analyzing business needs and create software solutions that meet those needs.
- Assist in creating flow charts, BPM workflows, and systems diagrams to aid problem analysis.
- Assist in preparing design documentation and ensuring that functional and technical documentation meets requirements.
- Support designs and document software/solutions according to SBD-IT standards, policies and procedures.
- Provide technical assistance to ensure timely resolution of incidents or issues.
- Assist in tasks to keep execution plans on track and report major budget or timeline deviations.
- Help plan and integrate new products with the existing IT landscape.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues escalated during implementation.
- Assist in building knowledge databases for technology, solutions and domain areas.
- Support work with architecture, application services, infrastructure, release management and other stakeholders to enable smooth deployment.
- Continuously transfer tacit knowledge to vendors and knowledge management systems.
- Work with outside partners to ensure SBD requirements are met.

- Undergraduate degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience, or Graduate degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall and Agile/Scrum/Iterative Development).
- ITFS Project Methodology knowledge.
- Engineering application domain knowledge including PLM, CAD, and CAE.
- Integration technologies.
- Infrastructure technologies, including cloud computing/SaaS/IaaS/PaaS.
- Technical skills specific to the systems or applications being supported.
- Thorough familiarity with configuring and setting up supported applications.
