Therapist, Adult Hospital

Hours: M-F, 8-4:30 pm | Salary | Full time

A day hospital is an outpatient psychiatric program patients attend during weekdays, returning to the comfort of home in the evenings and on weekends. It is a less intensive level of care than inpatient but provides more support than a traditional outpatient setting. Many patients find day hospital treatment a helpful step down from inpatient care before returning to daily life or that it is an effective intensity of treatment to help avoid an inpatient stay.

At Sheppard Pratt day hospital, care consists of both individual and group treatment. The day hospitals are group-based programs. Patients attend multiple group therapeutic sessions throughout the day. Day hospitals are located on the Towson and Baltimore Washington Campus for Sheppard Pratt.

• Providing group therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities such as CBT and DBT.
• Offering supportive counseling and monitoring progress towards treatment goals.
• Collaborating with treatment team members to communicate patient progress and contribute to treatment planning and aftercare planning processes.
• Participating in family meetings and collaborative care sessions as needed to support holistic patient care.

• Must possess one of the following Maryland licenses at time of hire:
• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
• Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW‑C)
• Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC)
• Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to board certifications and years and level of related experience. The pay range for this position is $60k - $105k.
