Psychiatric Urgent Care (PUC) Navigator – Day/Evening (Towson)

• Coordinate linkages to care for urgent care patients in collaboration with Psychiatric Urgent Care (PUC) clinical providers.
• Collect patient data and manage patient registration for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
• Coordinate with Admission, Day Hospital, Care Connect, and other programs to ensure seamless patient transitions.
• Communicate with patients, families, and clinical providers in a timely and compassionate manner.
• Serve as liaison between community referral sources and Psychiatric Urgent Care providers.

• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and diagnoses acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Psychiatric Rehabilitation, or a related field.
• For internal candidates, a high school diploma plus at least three years of relevant internal experience may be considered a substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new computer programs quickly.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, referral sources, and co‑workers, often under stressful circumstances (51‑80% of work time). Urgent Care patients and their families may be stressed, anxious, irritable, and/or distraught.
