Security Design Engineer, McLean, VA
Our client is seeking a Security Design Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in McLean, VA.
Description
Our client is seeking a Security Design Engineer in the Washington DC/Metro area to assist with System Design, Request for Proposal Response, High Level System Experience and Programming of Access Control, Video Management, Intrusion Detection and Intercom Systems. They are seeking a self-starting, technical and creative individual with experience in complex security systems.
Requirements
- Experience with security systems such as Lenel, RS2, DSX, Brivo, Pelco, Milestone, Exacq Vision, Bosch, DMP and Aiphone is strongly desired.
- Experience with interpreting Request for Proposals, Statement of Works and drawing packages to develop Integrated Security System designs in order to create Bill of Materials (BOM) and Technical Proposals.
- Strong computer skills and experience with the MS Office suite.
- Strong oral and writing skills.
- Identifies potential project risks, communicates to appropriate parties and assist in the development and implementation of strategies to minimize impact and to control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
Preferred
- Experience supporting technicians with high level system programming, system startup, and servicing of a variety of security systems is strongly desired.
- Experience assisting customers with remote programming assistance and troubleshooting is desired.
- Experience developing custom PACS, VMS and IDS solutions for customers that have unique policies or procedures requirements is strongly desired.
- Experience with AutoCAD is preferred.
