Overview
The organization is seeking a Contract Manager to provide procurement and contract management support. This role supports the delivery of reliable, cost-efficient, and timely IT goods and services while ensuring compliance with all applicable procurement, legal, and organizational requirements. The position works closely with Procurement and Legal stakeholders and may include the opportunity for conversion to a permanent role upon successful completion of an initial contract term.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
The Contract Manager will initiate, develop, and manage IT-related contracts and support the Contract Manager Lead in the following areas:
- Serve as a liaison with personnel and management across multiple organizational levels, as well as external vendors and contractors.
- Prepare requests for proposals (RFPs) and administer contracts through completion of performance.
- Execute all phases of the procurement lifecycle, including:
- Kick-off and pre-proposal meetings
- Review and coordination of procurement documentation
- Tracking approvals
- Facilitating legal and procurement reviews
- Managing contract documents and amendments through internal collaboration and approval processes
- Monitor financial aspects of assigned contracts, including funding availability, burn rates, and expenditures.
- Oversee day-to-day procurement operations, including:
- Supplier performance monitoring
- Contract expiration tracking and renewals
- Contract scope monitoring
- Change development and dispute coordination
- Ensure all required documentation accompanies contracts and maintain both digital and hard-copy records.
- Communicate contract processes, terms, conditions, and details clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain schedules and calendars for the Contract Office, including:
- Meeting preparation and organization
- Agenda development
- Note-taking and meeting minutes
- Action item tracking and follow-up
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Candidates must have documented experience in the following areas:
- At least 2 years of contract management experience
- At least 2 years of experience providing administrative support in an Information Technology environment
- 4 years of experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Fundamental knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and related productivity tools
- Exceptional organizational and coordination skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm
- Experience with IT purchasing environment
- Experience supporting or managing high-visibility or enterprise-level IT programs
- Documented evidence of required experience and education
- Successful completion of a comprehensive criminal background check prior to assignment start
