Accountant, Accounting & Finance

37.5 hours per week, shifts will be either 7:30 am - 3:45 pm or 8:00 am - 4:15 pm and include a 45 minute unpaid lunch break.

As client is transitioning our ERP implementation to the fiscal module, Client is reaching out to obtain resumes. These temporary placements will be back-fill into existing positions to allow current employees to designate as much time as needed to the implementation. The positions will be paid at the level of an experienced Accountant, with 4-5 years of experience.

• Processes interfaces and uploads transactions to the financial system.
• Reviews documents to ensure their proper backup.
• Processes the manual disbursement documents in the financial system to record Automated Clearing House (ACH) disbursements.
• Maintains system open and close periods to ensure transactions are posted to the proper fiscal year.
• Journal entry preparation.
• Journal entry system entry.
• Grant reconciliation.
• Processes periodic batch and chain jobs in the financial system and monitors them for completion.
• Reviews journal entries for proper backup documentation and accurate coding and approvals.
• Receives, reviews, and processes invoices for a variety of payable accounts.
• Resolves discrepancies, which may require extensive research.
• Reviews purchase orders, invoices, receiving confirmations, invoice approvals, and purchase order verifications to ensure that payments to vendors can be made promptly.
• Processes reimbursements to schools and travel and mileage reimbursements for employees.
• Ensures their compliance with travel policies, rules, and procedures.
• Verifies the accuracy of accounts payable checks before mailing.
