Bookkeeper

Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Towson, Maryland. This role is responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

+ Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable

+ Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy

+ Monitor and track sales, expenses, and inventory-related costs

+ Prepare detailed monthly financial reports

+ Support payroll processing and handle sales tax reporting

+ Assist the accountant with month-end and year-end close procedures

+ Maintain organized and accurate financial records

Requirements - Previous experience in bookkeeping, preferably within a small business setting.

- Proficiency in accounting software, with Quick Books Online being highly desirable.

- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

- Ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines.

- Familiarity with payroll processes and sales tax regulations.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, small business environment.
