Assistant Controller

Join the Sheraton Baltimore North as our Assistant Controller. The Hotel Assistant Controller supports the Hotel Director of Financebymanaging daily accounting operations.

• Financial Operations: Oversee daily activities like accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll processing, and revenue reporting.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports, providing insights to management.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and ensure policy compliance.
• Team Supervision: Directly supervise accounting staff, including Income Auditors and Staff Accountants, providing guidance and training.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and compliance.
• Budgeting: Help develop annual budgets, monthly projections, and labor reviews.

• Experience: Several years in hotel accounting, general ledger, income audit, AP/AR.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience).
