Exterior Skilled Carpenter

Client in Townsend, DE seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced Exterior Skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques and the ability to work on exterior projects. Projects will include roofing, siding, doors, windows, framing, etc.

Hours:

7:30am-4pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plastic, drywall, and other materials.
• Construct frameworks including doors, windows, siding, and roofing.
• Roofing, siding, doors, and windows.
• Repair and maintain existing structures.
• Operate power tools, hand tools, and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Follow building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with other trades (electricians, plumbers, painters).
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Communicate progress and issues to supervisors.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a skilled carpenter (3+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Physical stamina and strength.
• Attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
• Strong problem-solving and math skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA certification (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training a plus.

Work Environment:

• Outdoor and indoor construction sites.
• May require standing, lifting, bending, and working at heights.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
