Where: Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN
Responsibilities- Flagging during circuit operations
- Fire cover and Fire Tender operation (including FAS where trained)
- Incident response and initial First Aid
- Pit Lane management and safety
- Circuit preparation and maintenance
- Communication with Race Control
This is a zero-hours contract
, primarily event-based, including weekends.
- Current First Aid qualification (essential)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong communication skills
- Fire & Rescue or Marshalling experience (desirable)
- Team-focused and professional attitude

AboutThe Role
To assist the Circuit Safety Team Leader and the full time Circuit Safety Team in providing a safe operational environment for all users of the Silverstone circuit in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Circuit Safety Team on any events taking place around or on the Silverstone Circuit
- Undertake any Circuit Safety role allocated:
- Circuit Safety Marshal
- Pit Lane Marshal
- Fire Cover
- Race Control Duties
- Circuit preparation & maintenance
- Responsible for attending morning briefing detailing day's event and sign to confirm attendance at this briefing
- Responsible for completing daily checks of vehicles and equipment as per ‘Start of Day Checklist’ and recorded via a QR Code
- Support circuit staff with circuit preparation prior to and during track activity.
- To undertake Fire & Rescue operations as required
- Operate a Fire Attack System (FAS) equipped Fire Tender as required.
- Remain observant of your area reporting anything to Race Control that could present a danger to other track users, Silverstone staff or visitors.
- Flagging during circuit operation;
Yellow – all incidents, Yellow/Red & Chequered as required, Red as directed. - Incident control prior to arrival of additional resources.
- Carry out initial First Aid as required until Medical Teams arrive on scene and then assist the Medical Teams as directed.
- Assist in vehicle recovery.
- Clearing up of circuit after incident (sweeping, oil dressing, debris removal etc.)
- Reporting of any unauthorised track incursions.
- Perform Pit Lane duties; to include Pit Lane Management & Safety, Checking Wristbands, Flagging as directed, Liaising with Silverstone Co‑Ordinator, customers, Silverstone staff members & Race Control.
- Always wear the provided PPE and business dress correctly whilst on duty and when dealing with incidents.
- To work as part of the team to ensure the commercial and operational success of events.
- Create a positive, proactive culture and environment within the department.
- Promote the professional image of the company by ensuring high standards of both professionalism and personal presentation.
