We have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Composite Machinist to join our Pattern Shop working on a weekend shift. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in achieving exceptional precision, this is your opportunity to contribute to a top-tier motor sport operation. As a CNC Composite Machinist
, you will be responsible for machining carbon fibre components, patterns, moulds, jigs, and other precision parts using state-of-the-art 5-axis CNC machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine high-specification composite parts using 5-axis CNC machines and offline programs.
  • Machine patterns, moulds, jigs, and tooling to meet tight tolerances and design specifications.
  • Use engineering drawings to verify accuracy and communicate discrepancies before part removal.
  • Monitor production schedules to ensure timely delivery, escalating issues promptly.
  • Maintain machines, tooling, and workstations to avoid downtime and maximise performance.
  • Collaborate with CNC Programmers to refine machining processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare raw material stock and support related departments as needed.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement and team performance targets.
  • Support car build schedules with flexibility and professionalism.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Proven experience in composite machining using 5-axis CNC equipment.
  • Possess an excellent understanding of composite machining methods and requirements for achieving required tolerances on machined components.
  • Working knowledge of CNC programming principles and machining best practices.
  • Experience with carbon fibre, Rohacell, and associated composite materials.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and apply practical solutions.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Be results orientated and be confident in your decision-making skills
  • Demonstrate a flexible attitude towards working hours.
