TIG Welder​/Fabricator

Job Summary
Our client are seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator/Welder to join their manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components, primarily using TIG welding techniques, to produce high-quality products within tight deadlines. The ideal applicant will possess mechanical knowledge and basic mathematical skills to ensure precise fabrication and assembly.

Responsibilities

Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including mild steel, stainless steel, titanium and aluminium.
Fabricate parts according to technical drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently during fabrication processes.
Read technical drawings to determine measurements and weld points.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Conduct quality checks on finished products to meet company standards.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow.

Requirements

Proven experience in TIG welding and general fabrication work.
Proficiency in welding techniques specific to motor sport/aerospace standards.
Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools.
Basic mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
Ability to interpret technical drawings effectively.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in welding or fabrication are desirable but not essential.

Experience with in the motor sport industry is preferred.

Overtime is available at x1.5

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
