DescriptionAs part of the Finance Team, we are responsible for all the nitty‑gritty – that means producing timely financial information and reports across the business as we cover some of the most iconic racing events in the history of British motor sport, including the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, MotoGP British Grand Prix and the largest historic race festival, the Silverstone Classic.
JobPurpose
As a member of the finance team to perform a variety of accounting tasks including, but not limited to, cash/card recording, daily sales reconciliations from various sales systems against the cashbook, balance sheet reconciliations and the raising of sales invoices & associated debt management.
Key Responsibilities- Reconciling actual debit & credit card takings to system reports, especially those relating to event tickets.
- Reconciliation of cashbook records in the accounting system to the bank statements, including timely investigation & resolution of differences.
- Raising of sales invoices for the group companies, matching of resultant receipt to the invoiced debt and investigation of unpaid debts.
- Responsible for cash collection & counting and recording in the accounts system.
- Banking of physical cash takings & cheques at the local bank branch.
- Management of relationships with company customers, including statement issuing and escalation of any unpaid debts.
- Complete & accurate filing of all documentation as required.
- Supporting the wider business during major events in operational and customer focused roles.
- Providing cover where required for other Finance team members.
- Educating other business teams to ensure compliance with purchase order procedures.
- To identify areas for improvement in the efficiency & effectiveness of financial processes and to assist in implementing solutions to realise such improvements.
- To work as part of the team to develop and mentor others and to support workloads to ensure the commercial and operational success of the events.
- Create a positive, proactive culture and environment within the department.
- Promote at all times the professional image of the company by ensuring high standards of both professionalism and personal presentation.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise- Highly numerate
- Ability to completely & accurately follow accounting procedures
- Well‑organised and able to work to deadlines
- Good communication skills, including written English
- Strong written skills
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and Outlook)
- Knowledge of accounting systems desirable, but not essential
