We are looking for a team player to join our friendly team who would like to thrive in a busy environment. Working strictly in accordance with specific trust guidelines and protocols, the post-holder will be responsible for performing venepuncture to obtain blood samples from patients only as the result of a direct referral from a GP. Full training and induction will be provided to the successful applicant.
Here in Hythe & Waterside Integrated Care Team care for clients with physical health needs in the community. We are based in Totton, on the outskirts of Southampton, and cover Hythe & Waterside and parts of the beautiful New Forest.
Therefore being a car driver is essential for this role.

Main duties of the job- To provide a high-quality domiciliary phlebotomy service to patients who are housebound in the community.
- To assist with specific tasks related to patients in the community as delegated by the Health Care professionals.
- To work with the Health Professionals in facilitating patients access to domiciliary phlebotomy service enabling them to remain at home.
- To work independently without direct supervision in patients' homes after a period of induction following competency based assessment.
- To demonstrate Venesection skills to other HCSW's new to the community as part of an agreed training programme.

Qualifications- NVQ Level 2 in Care or equivalent experience
