Lead Security Technician

Security Technician - 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Location: Central/North Jersey

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

We are looking for a skilled Security Technician to join our team on a 6-month contract‑to‑hire basis. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience installing and servicing IP‑based security systems in commercial and industrial settings.

• Installing access control systems, electronic door and lock hardware
• Running and terminating cables
• Troubleshooting issues
• Maintaining a professional appearance and communicating effectively with customers

During the contract period, candidates will use their own vehicle to travel. This is a field‑based role, responding to client installation and service calls across Central and North Jersey - not a single‑site position.

• Installation and servicing of CCTV systems
• Installation and servicing of Card Access systems
• Installation and servicing of Burglar/Fire Alarm systems
• Strong construction knowledge
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings
• Excellent problem‑solving skills

• Ability to operate hand and power tools, lift up to 50 lbs, and install/service security devices
• Clear communication with customers and team members
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights (12-32 feet or higher using man lifts)
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to recognize and identify colors
• Dependable and punctual attendance
• Ability to work full‑time schedule and overtime as needed
• Available for travel, including nights and weekends
• Required to wear company uniform and maintain a neat appearance

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Totowa, NJ.

Pay range: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change.
