A law firm is seeking a 3–5 year Workers’ Compensation Attorney in Totowa, NJ to manage claimant-side matters and related personal injury litigation. Step into a hands-on role with direct case ownership, courtroom exposure, and steady workflow—this position is actively interviewing.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a full docket of Workers’ Compensation cases from intake through hearings, negotiations, and resolution
- Evaluate claims, develop case strategy, and maintain accurate case plans and timelines
- Prepare pleadings, motions, medical and wage-loss documentation, and settlement submissions
- Communicate with clients regarding case status, expectations, and next steps in a clear and professional manner
- Coordinate with medical providers, experts, and opposing counsel to advance claims efficiently
- Handle auto accident litigation, slip and fall matters, and other personal injury litigation as needed
- Prepare for and participate in hearings, conferences, and negotiations to drive favorable outcomes
- Maintain strong organization and file management to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work product
- 3–5 years of relevant legal experience
- Demonstrated experience handling Workers’ Compensation cases
- New York licensure preferred (or ability/interest to obtain if applicable)
- Strong litigation fundamentals: investigation, strategy, motion practice, and negotiation readiness
- Excellent client-service mindset and communication skills
- Strong legal research and writing ability, with attention to detail and follow-through
