Axcis Education is looking for an Intervention Tutor to work as part of the Outreach Team with pupils aged 11‑19 with a range of SEND needs.
About the role- This role is to be based at a provision in Totnes.
- This is a full‑time role – working Monday to Friday 9.00–4.45 pm.
- This position is to start immediately or as soon as possible.
- The annual salary ranges from £25,500‑£35,500, depending on your experience.
- This would be a fantastic position for any experienced Teaching Assistants, Support Workers, Higher Level Teaching Assistants, TEFL tutors or experienced SEND Teaching Assistants.
- Pupils who attend have diagnosed or undiagnosed SEND barriers, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH.
- Students attend a 1:1 intervention session.
- Staff deliver a bespoke Maths and English curriculum, which is tailored.
- Students have opportunities for brain breaks, sensory breaks and activities.
- The school implements the Thrive approach.
- Personalised learning programmes are implemented.
- Fantastic relationship building techniques.
- Good understanding of numeracy and English.
- Previous SEND experience with children and/or adults.
- Effective strategies to support dysregulated pupils.
- A flexible and proactive attitude.
