Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing Hospice Volunteer Program and volunteer activities; collaborates and coordinates fundraising and support activities with VNA Fund
* Develops, coordinates, and evaluates annual plan for volunteer resources.
* Recruits, interviews, orients, trains, assigns, and evaluates volunteers.
* Supervises, instructs, and provides guidance to volunteers in the performance of their duties.
* Establishes procedures in relation to volunteer activities and area of responsibility.
* Develops and implements programs/in-services for volunteer participation.
* Reviews/audits, compiles, and maintains volunteer records which include training and service data for compliance with regulations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
* Schedule meetings with volunteers to provide support and ensure effectiveness of service; identifies needs and gaps in service; acts as volunteer liaison member of interdisciplinary team.
* Collaborates with community partners in recruitment, training, and assignment of volunteers into those settings.
* Facilitates communications with Agency staff, volunteers, and families.
* Educations the community about the Hospice and Volunteer Programs; represents the Volunteer Program at internal and external meetings.
* Collaborates with staff in writing grant proposals/requests for funds.
* Collaborates with public affairs department regarding ongoing community relations programs

One year experience in social work, human services, or related field
