Overview
Through the direction of the Team Leader or Lead Person this individual is responsible for properly performing the match operation required for proper assembly. The majority of products involve hand assembly but must be able to operate other various assembly equipment in the department. Must be able to obtain certain information from a blueprint. This employee must frequently use various measuring devices to accurately maintain proper sizes and tolerances.
Most work is repetitive in nature and follows routing, prescribed methods but some skill and judgment is involved in selecting correct sizes. This individual is also responsible for the movement of material, product or components to and/or from other productions areas.
- Perform the match operation required for proper assembly under the direction of the Team Leader or Lead Person.
- Operate hand assembly and other assembly equipment as needed.
- Obtain information from blueprints.
- Frequently use measuring devices to accurately maintain sizes and tolerances.
- Perform repetitive work following routing and prescribed methods; apply skill and judgment in selecting correct sizes when necessary.
- Move material, product, or components to and from other production areas.
- Minimize scrap and rework; maintain accurate production records; identify issues that may prohibit production and report them to the Lead or Team Leader.
- Keep work areas clean and neat; may be assigned routing or preventive maintenance of equipment.
- Attendance at work is an essential function of the position.
