Our hospital provides an incredible impact to the healthcare of Northwestern Connecticut.
In the Hospitalist service we work to lessen waiting in the emergency room, speed up diagnosis and treatments, reduce hospital stays while improving outcomes and continuity of care. Hospitalists provide support for Primary Care Physicians and rapid response to all hospitalized patients. Provider census, shared between day and night hospitalists is about 45 patients per day, with 5-10 admissions per day, and about 2 providers on schedule at any given moment.
This is a closed Intensive Care Unit with specialty support. Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, in the State of Connecticut
