Business Development
The Business Development team is responsible for generating leads within the company ICP by contacting decision makers, completing light introductory discovery and confirming a need within the organization for solutions in the Instant Info Systems vendor portfolio, introducing our solutions and obtaining a commitment to speak with a member of the sales team and participate in a sales discovery call. Leads will be generated from a combination of inbound leads from marketing efforts, research done by the BDA team, partner / vendor generated leads, and any other leads presented to IIS to act on.
This role reports to the head of marketing, with ancillary support from the director of sales, the duties and responsibilities of the Business Development Associate are as follows:
Development of New Business Opportunities:- Introduce prospects to the sales team by identifying and qualifying opportunities; make a great first impression and build rapport with our future clients. Listen to their needs confirm a timeline to execute and align it with our value proposition.
- Generate qualified opportunities with prospects to help the company achieve its revenue goals; meet weekly and monthly goals for qualified opportunities with relentlessness determination and a “no mountain too high” attitude.
- Nurture leads over yearly renewal cycles to build rapport and actively engage with potential clients, communicate the value, and build interest in our solutions, and uncover future opportunities.
- Support and collaborate with Account Management, Marketing, and Client Success teams.
- Use a combination of outbound calls, emails, sales enablement tools, Linked In, and other tools to increase the sales opportunity pipeline.
- Regularly re-engage and re-target your lead pipeline with persistence and tenacity.
- Solve prospect’s objections in order to establish meaningful and dynamic conversations with key decision makers.
Activities:
- Coordinate and grow lead generation and lead nurturing programs; identify key sales opportunities while building individual lead funnels.
- Oversee lead management, tracking, and thorough reporting.
- Analyze and execute strategies based on key marketing metrics to prioritize likelihood of opportunities reaching sales.
- Provide ancillary support for marketing campaigns by creating ancillary collateral to supplement campaigns. (web posting, draft copywriting, proofreading, production, and tracking as required)
- Coordinate customer communications and identify opportunities for key communications. (email blasts, subscriber lists/CRM database, webinars)
- Provide administrative support to marketing and sales department heads as needed.
- A minimum of 1 year of tele-sales/telemarketing experience, with experience in B2B services and/or technology.
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to collaborate with BDA team as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Outstanding phone personality and high degree of comfort with cold outreach.
- Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Winning mentality and team player.
- Self-motivated, proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Microsoft CRM, Salesloft or similar sales enablement tools; experience with social media outreach toolsis a plus.
- Superior organizational skills: extremely detail oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
