Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking Emergency Veterinarians to join our team as Traveling Emergency Veterinarians.

The Travel ER veterinarian role provides the best of both worlds, combining the flexibility and great travel options of an independent relief veterinarian with the stability and safety of a full-time position with outstanding, industry-leading benefits. Our Travel Veterinarians receive all the benefits of full-time staff members.

• 3 or more years of ER experience or ER internship training plus 1–2 years of ER experience.
• Specialty / Emergency experience strongly preferred.
• Surgical experience and skills required.

• Full‑time position:
  Minimum 9 shifts per four‑week block to qualify for full‑time benefits, PTO, and discretionary funds. This is the lowest shift minimum in the industry for full‑time benefits.
• Part‑time position:
  Minimum 3 shifts per four weeks. Eligible for part‑time benefits with travel coverage. Additional benefits, when applicable, are determined on a case‑by‑case basis.

Shifts are managed through our online scheduling platform, Jobs Unleashed. Traveling ER veterinarians select from the available shifts. Candidates manage schedules within the guidelines set by the team manager concerning focus hospitals, regions, and shift types. Any shifts beyond the agreed minimum are optional and compensated according to the Shift/Pro model.
