Veterinary Assistant

Thrive Urgent Care in Torrance is hiring a Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. We opened in March 2022 and continue to grow. Our goal is to relieve pressure from local and busy ER hospitals, help our referring veterinary community, and provide exceptional outpatient service to pets and their families. This position will make a positive impact on patients, clients, and veterinary colleagues’ lives.

We are open 7 days a week.

• demonstrate compassion and care for our clients’ animals.

• perform triage.
• conduct technical tasks in a fast-paced veterinary setting.
• be proficient in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and digital radiography.
• assist with anesthetic procedures as needed (e.g., urethral obstructions, laceration repairs).
• value client education and assist with reception work when needed.

Successful candidates should have a minimum of 1–2 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Experience in emergency or exotics is highly preferred.

Hourly Wage: $20-$29 /hour - depending on experience and skillset.
