The Staff RN uses the nursing process to deliver nursing care to a given patient care population as it relates to the care setting. Nursing care is based on the interpretation and execution of the medical and nursing plan of treatment utilizing established procedures standards and protocols of individuals within the assigned work shift. The Staff RN provides nursing care to the population served in the unit.

- Prevents and alleviates vomiting.
- Assesses infection control measures necessary in order to provide quality patient care by utilization of epidemiological methods. Assesses employee safety. patient, staff and community educational needs with regard to infection control.

- Assists the patient to understand information related to a specific disease process.
- Provides the necessary information, advocacy and support to facilitate primary patient care by someone other than the healthcare professional
- Dying Care - promotes physical comfort and psychological peace in the final phase of life (SERVICE/KNOWLEDGE/EXCELLENCE/COMMUNITY)
- Emotional Support - Provides reassurance, acceptance and encouragement during times of stress.
- Degree
- ADN, BSN or MSN in Nursing
- Additional Information
- BSN/MSN Degree or Associate degree in Nursing - Bachelors or Masters program with completion within 3 years.
- Additional Information
- ONS chemo biotherapy certification required within one year of employment
- Registered Nurse License
- ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association
Compensation Range
$42.42 - $54.18 / Hour
