As a Part‑time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Torrance, CA. The scheduled hours are 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
What You’ll Do- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manage required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
- Evaluate, treat, and prioritize patient care within the scope of practice
- Deliver evidence‑based care to injured workers, accelerate return to work, and coordinate case management with the TPA and client
- Implement and monitor transitional duty programs for injured workers
- Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
- Administer medications and provide emergency care within legal scope of practice
- Maintain medical equipment, ensure a clean and safe environment, and follow infection control procedures
- Maintain patient health records to ensure accurate and up‑to‑date records
- Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow‑up care
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
- Assist with accident investigations, return‑to‑work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an Associate degree (A.S.) is required; a Bachelor’s degree (BSN) is preferred
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice required
- Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN‑S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
- Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for healthcare providers is required;
Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services - At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
- Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including partnering to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return‑to‑work exams

CompensationPremise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $44.00 – $55.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
