Assurance Senior Manager | Public Accounting

We’re working with a growing public accounting firm that’s looking to add an Assurance Senior Manager to its leadership team.

This is a true senior-level role for an experienced assurance professional who enjoys owning client relationships, leading teams, and playing a meaningful role in how an assurance practice operates and grows.

As an Assurance Senior Manager, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients while overseeing complex audit engagements and mentoring the next generation of leaders. You’ll work closely with partners on risk assessment, engagement planning, and practice management, with real visibility into firm operations and decision-making.

This role is ideal for a Senior Manager who wants more ownership, influence, and long-term impact than what’s typically available in larger, more rigid environments.

• Lead and coordinate audit engagements from planning through completion
• Review and supervise assurance teams to ensure quality control standards are met
• Collaborate with partners on risk assessment, audit programs, budgeting, and client strategy
• Serve as a technical resource, applying GAAP to complex issues and drafting technical memos
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, advising on economic and regulatory risks
• Mentor, train, and develop assurance staff and managers through ongoing feedback
• Manage engagement economics, billing, and profitability
• Contribute to firm policies, procedures, recruiting, and professional development initiatives
• Participate in business development and marketing efforts

• 8+ years of experience in public accounting
• CPA required
• 5+ years of supervising and developing assurance teams
• Strong background managing multiple audit engagements simultaneously
• Executive presence and comfort serving as a primary client contact
• Interest in contributing beyond engagement work (leadership, practice growth, firm initiatives)
