A highly respected, full-service public accounting firm in Torrance, CA is seeking a Tax Senior Manager to oversee complex engagements, lead tax teams and serve as a trusted advisor to middle-market clients. This onsite role partners closely with multiple Tax Partners, reviews sophisticated tax work, manages workflow across engagements and develops talent while delivering exceptional service. Salary Range: $200,000 - $290,000 / Year DOE
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee multiple tax engagements for privately held middle-market clients
- Review tax returns prepared by staff and senior staff for accuracy and compliance
- Manage tax department workflow and ensure deadlines are consistently met
- Build and maintain strong client relationships as a primary advisor
- Provide strategic, value-added tax solutions
- Stay current on tax law, regulatory and economic changes
- Collaborate closely with multiple Tax Partners across engagements
- Mentor, coach and develop tax staff and managers
- Provide feedback and performance evaluations
- Ensure ethical standards and firm policies are upheld
- Deliver high-quality work on time and within budget
- CPA required
- Minimum 6–7 years of public accounting experience
- Proven experience managing and mentoring teams
- Strong background in tax within a public accounting firm
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational, analytical and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication and client-facing presence
