Job Title: Inventory Warehouse Manager

Location: Torrance, CA

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out management responsibilities and performance management of bargaining unit and indirect staff in Receiving, Central Stores, Clean Room, Line Side Store Rooms, and production areas, managing employees in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws under Supply Chain Management.
  • Manage by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices, tracking employee attendance and tardiness; manage time accounting for hourly employees.
  • Establish and execute weekly staffing plan for the warehouse team.
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance in accordance with company policy and report any safety violations, first-aid, unsafe conditions, and OSHA violations immediately.
  • Enforce and monitor operations standard operating procedures to meet production/material/shipping/receiving schedules and deadlines.
  • Manage employee’s time by following union guidelines and ensuring adequate stock room support for operations needs.
  • Execute cycle count process and investigate variances as needed.
  • Identify and drive measures to improve material handling, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting processes.
  • Monitor and report daily, weekly, and monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) for each inventory location to proactively address adverse performance trends; ensure employees are trained and following the processes according to the guidelines set forth.
  • Proactively engage and coach cross‑functional teams, including assigned staff and upstream/downstream stakeholders, to drive critical actions that create sustained service‑level results, tracking work completion by type and area of work.
  • Ensure transactions are accurate and the needs of the stakeholders are met in a timely manner.
  • Review and carry out necessary inventory adjustments, warehouse transfers, location transfers to ensure proper material flow through the factory, escalating as needed.
  • Leverage Stellant continuous process improvement methodologies and look to drive continuous improvement and best‑in‑class warehouse management performance.
  • Identify and implement new systems, processes, procedures, work instructions, and other actions that will improve operational performance.
  • Execute monthly shipment plan, report status and escalates any risk to plan.
Qualifications
  • Understands basic supervisory approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, and process execution.
  • Typically requires broad job knowledge of technical or operational practices within assigned discipline.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience;
    Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum education and years of experience requirements are not to be used exclusive of other leveling factors. Substitution of additional relevant education and experience for stated qualifications may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ERP (INFOR LN) experience.
  • Management of bargaining unit employees.
