DescriptionACCESS South Bay is seeking an ER/Critical Care Veterinary Technician Manager to join our team!

Salary: $75k - $90k / year, dependent upon experience/skills assessment.
Job Purpose- Responsible for maintaining a staff that adheres to the principles of Quality, Integrity, Compassion and Service.
- Responsible for the training, performance, scheduling and review of staff.
- Provide primary point of contact for all technical questions, comments, concerns and issues, while on and off premises.
- Scheduling and performance of interviews and skill assessments for all prospective new hires.
- Appropriate scheduling of staff to maximize coverage and minimize overtime while recognizing 24/7 case load needs, including coverage of technical responsibilities for patients as needed and approval of requested time off.
- Share responsibility with the ECC Technician Managerીડ ensuring all Cubex machines are fully stocked and all necessary maintenance on them is performed.
- Provision of medical, behavioral and performance expectations to specialty technical staff.
- Oversight, with guidance from the Hospital Administrator, of staff performance, ensuring quality control and consistency of technical taskագետ completion.
- Performance review of staff on a regular basis to ensure members are provided clear expectations and understand how they perform compared to expectations.
- Communication with Hospital Administrator regarding specialty equipment performance and maintenance to ensure necessary functionality.
- Work closely with Hospital Administrator as well as the entire administrative team to ensure consistent practices throughout the hospital.
- Act as primary person for resource management of staff.
- As assigned, oversee training of staff in various areas of technical skills pertinent to their specific specialty department.
- Primary key‑holder or Cubex resource as needed.
- Responsible for scheduling regular staff meetings and verifying that all action items from each meeting are handled before eliminating them from the list.
- General facility oversight and knowledge, including handling or delegation of first response for urgent specialty department needs.
- Responsible for upholding the spirit of ACCESS by handling all necessary tasks that require attention.
- Veterinary Technician Manager should ideally possess 2+ years of leadership experience. RVT preferred but not required.
- Excellent leader and outstanding communication skills.
- Well organised and able to multi‑task effectively.
