Position Summary

As Operations Manager, you will oversee warehouse, purchasing, and logistics functions for a dedicated team in Los Angeles. You will optimize workflows through hands-on and strategic management, ensuring timely, cost-efficient delivery, and ongoing process improvement.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • On-Time In-Full (OTIF) rate
  • Inventory accuracy
  • Order fulfillment lead time
  • Landed cost of goods, shipping optimization
  • Warehouse labor productivity
Warehouse + Logistics Management
  • Supervise daily warehouse operations: receiving, storage, inventory management, and fulfillment.
  • Ensure shipments to clients are on-time, accurate, and meet quality standards (track OTIF performance).
  • Optimize space utilization, safety, and equipment maintenance.
  • Partner with domestic and international freight carriers to secure rates and track costs.
  • Implement light assembly and packaging processes to support product readiness and quality.
  • Prioritize, train, and guide warehouse staff to maximize efficiency day-to-day.
  • Lead purchasing strategy for best value, reliability, and product quality.
  • Negotiate supplier pricing, payment terms, and contracts for improved costs.
  • Maintain clear information flow with vendors on production schedules, lead times, and delays.
  • Oversee accurate purchase orders and timely inbound deliveries.
  • Review inventory forecasts, collaborating with internal teams for optimal stock levels.
Systems, Reporting + Process Development
  • Document and improve operational processes using Quick Books Desktop, ERP, and inventory/digital tools.
  • Integrate and streamline business systems for transparency and automation.
  • Track and analyze key operational KPIs: inventory turnover, order accuracy, fulfillment speed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance service.
Internal Communication + Project Support
  • Provide status updates to leadership and cross-functional teams on orders and deliverables.
  • Work closely with sales and project managers to ensure client expectations and project timelines are met.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve logistics, warehouse, or supply chain issues.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in operations, warehouse, or supply chain management (preferably in manufacturing or design-driven environments).
  • History of optimizing operations and reducing cost of goods.
  • Solid knowledge of ERP, CRM, and inventory management software;
    Quck Books Desktop proficiency preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, able to manage overlapping projects with calm and clarity.
  • Strong communicator with vendors, partners, and internal teams.
  • Small-team leadership experience; ability to balance supervision with process development.
  • Skilled at adapting plans and workflows for greater efficiency.
