Job Description
Pay Range: $70hr - $75hr
- The Database Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale database systems that support enterprise data needs.
- This role ensures database environments are secure, scalable, high-performing, and aligned with business objectives while supporting innovation and optimization initiatives.
- Develop logical and physical data models.
- Define database architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
- Oversee installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching of database systems.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Maintain documentation for database architecture, processes, and configurations.
- Implement robust security controls to protect sensitive data.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory standards.
- Establish and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Partner with software engineers, data analysts, and IT teams to integrate databases with applications.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical database solutions.
- Evaluate emerging database technologies including SQL, No
SQL, and cloud-based solutions. - Recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Strong expertise in SQL, No
SQL, and cloud database platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). - Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and database performance tuning.
- Experience with enterprise-level database systems such as Oracle, Postgre
SQL, Mongo
DB, etc. - Knowledge of data security protocols and compliance standards.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in database administration, design, or architecture roles.
- Oracle Certified Master
- AWS Certified Database Specialty
- Microsoft Certified:
Azure Database Administrator Associate
