AWS Cloud Architect

Job Description

Pay Range: $70hr - $73hr

• The AWS Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures on AWS while leading cloud adoption, modernization, and optimization initiatives.
• This role requires strong technical expertise in AWS services, Dev Ops practices, security compliance, and infrastructure automation, along with leadership capabilities to guide technical teams and align cloud strategies with business objectives.

• Design and implement scalable, highly available, and secure AWS cloud architectures.
• Define best practices for cloud adoption, migration, and modernization initiatives.
• Develop hybrid and multi‑cloud strategies where required.

• Lead deployment of applications and workloads on AWS infrastructure.
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and AWS Cloud Formation.
• Implement high availability, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.

• Enforce AWS security best practices including IAM, encryption, logging, and monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (ISO, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• Conduct security audits and risk assessments.

• Monitor cloud usage and optimize resource allocation for performance and cost efficiency.
• Implement cost‑saving strategies such as reserved instances and auto‑scaling.
• Provide performance tuning and architecture improvement recommendations.

• Collaborate with Dev Ops, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide architectural guidance.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Maintain executive‑level stakeholder communication when required.

• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture with at least 3+ years focused on AWS.
• Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, Cloud Front, etc.).
• Proficiency in networking, cloud security, and distributed system design.
• Hands‑on experience with Dev Ops tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Cloud Formation).
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder communication skills.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
• AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer.
• Experience with hybrid cloud or multi‑cloud environments.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience leading cloud transformation initiatives in enterprise environments.
