AWS Cloud Architect

Job Description

• An AWS Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• They act as the technical leader for cloud adoption, guiding organizations through architecture decisions, migration strategies, and optimization of cloud infrastructure.

• Cloud Architecture Design:
  Develop scalable, resilient, and secure AWS cloud architectures. Define best practices for cloud adoption and migration.
• Design hybrid and multi-cloud strategies when required. Implementation & Deployment:
  Lead the deployment of applications and workloads on AWS.
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation).
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
• Security & Compliance:
  Implement AWS security best practices (IAM, encryption, monitoring). Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
• Optimization & Cost Management:
  Monitor cloud usage and optimize resource allocation.
• Implement cost-saving strategies (reserved instances, autoscaling). Provide recommendations for performance improvements.
• Collaboration & Leadership:
  Work closely with Dev Ops, engineering, and business teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor s or Master s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience:
  
  5+ years in cloud architecture, with at least 3 years in AWS.

• Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, Cloud Front, etc.).
• Proficiency in networking, security, and system design.
• Hands-on experience with Dev Ops tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Certifications (preferred): AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Certified Security Specialty, AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer.

• Lead a team of Account Managers and Offshore Account Managers.
• Provide direction on account strategies, client engagement, and opportunity identification.
• Support Account Managers in high-stake negotiations, proposals, and escalations.
• Own the sales plan and revenue target for the defined group of accounts.
• Maintain executive-level relationships with select key clients and participate in strategic client governance meetings.
• Own overall revenue and profitability for the assigned portfolio of accounts.
• Collaborate with Delivery Heads and Practice Heads to ensure account growth strategies are aligned with organizational goals.
