Dice is the leading career destination for tech experts at every stage of their careers. Our client, Tech Link Systems, Inc., is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to oversee SaaS and other open platform projects, following Waterfall or Agile methodology.
Top Skills- Strong experience working with Waterfall / non‑agile methodology. Experience with Agile a plus.
- Flexible and adaptable to learn methodology and culture.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Project/Smartsheet & Powerpoint.
- Experience managing offshore partners.
- Strong communication skills and articulate.
- Responsible for assembling project plans and team work assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review, and escalating functional and quality timeline issues appropriately.
- Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources.
- Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed.
- Manages one or more cross‑functional projects of high complexity.
- Possesses ability to play the primary role of Sr. PM and to learn the business aspects/domain at a high level to help deliver the project and business solution.
- Manages one or more medium to large‑sized, moderately to highly complex projects.
- Plans vs. actual cost checks, issue/resolution, schedule management, and status reporting.
- Prepares detailed project presentations and facilitates meetings with management to report project progress and status.
- Prepares and sends weekly project status reports.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Project Management certification or completion of a recognized project management curriculum is preferred.
- Advanced understanding and ability to manage complex program and project budgets.
- Advanced ability in implementing program and project plans, monitoring progress, resource usage, and quality.
- Advanced knowledge in conducting risk assessments and developing plans for eliminating or mitigating identified risks. Business experience: 10‑12 years of IT work, 5 years managing projects.
- Capability in managing project budgets and forecasting spending.
- Experience reviewing contract terms (e.g., Statement of Work).
- Experience with Confluence and Jira.
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
- Ability to work with architecture/technical teams.
- Strong decision‑analysis skills—particularly in recommending the right direction/method/tool for an opportunity.
- Experience managing projects with more than one sub‑project component reporting to a common lead/manager.
