Position: HR & General Administration (HR/GA) Office Clerk – Japanese Bilingual
Hourly Rate: $23+/hour (DOE)
Working Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, 1-hour unpaid lunch break)

A Japanese retail company in Torrance, CA is seeking a Japanese-English bilingual HR & General Administration Office Clerk to support daily human resources and office administrative operations. This role supports the HR/GA team by handling routine HR tasks, ensuring compliance, and assisting with general office administration to maintain smooth day-to-day operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources (Approx. 60%)
- Support daily HR administrative tasks and operations
- Maintain employee records and HR databases
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and employee support
- Support payroll and benefits-related administrative work
- Respond to employee inquiries and act as an HR liaison
- Assist with HR policies, procedures, and compliance matters
General Administration (Approx. 40%)
- Order and manage office and store supplies
- Support lease contracts and administrative documentation
- Coordinate with on-site managers for facility maintenance and repairs
- Manage office phone lines and company mobile phones
- Perform general office administrative duties as assigned
- Minimum 1 year of experience in HR, General Administration, or a related field
- Japanese:
Expert level;
English:
Business level - Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills in a team-based environment
