Job Details

  • Compensation: Towne Park offers competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual pay is based on candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The hourly base pay range for this position is $24 per hour plus tips, with a $2 shift differential based on overnight.
  • Work Schedule: 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Benefits: Eligible for accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits, and the company’s 401(k) retirement plan. Eligibility depends on job classification, length of employment, and hours worked. Benefits may change and may be subject to specific plan or program terms. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for benefits listed above.

Summary

The Guest Service Associate provides exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. This role includes parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, and assisting guests with luggage (including delivery and pickup where applicable) during arrival and departure.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients. Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor. Uses guest last names during interactions.

  • Greets guests, practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette, and remains stationed in designated areas when not completing tasks.

    - 10%
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles safely, assists with bell services and luggage storage as needed, and opens vehicle and hotel doors for guests.

    - 20%
  • Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provides information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, and amenities; delivers messages, items and guest amenities as requested. Shuttles guests to approved locations.

    - 10%
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures; processes claim checks after receiving keys and collects claim checks prior to issuing keys. Maintains ticket information, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipts; completes and updates key tags. Calculates and collects revenue when needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.: Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work in, or reside within a commutable distance, as applicable.
  • Work Experience: One (1) month related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Skills: Ability to read and write standard English; read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to guests, clients, and other employees; perform basic arithmetic; understand 24-hour and military time; understand rates applicable to time passed; operating a manual transmission is highly desirable; and perform parallel parking.

  • Authority To Act: Job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures with directions; decisions are made within operational instructions and guidelines. Errors can affect department operations.
  • Budget Responsibility: The employee has control over resources available to them.

  • Lifting Requirements: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Working Environment: Mostly outdoors for extended periods, including entire shifts. Exposure to extreme heat and cold; weather protection may be provided but not guaranteed.

Travel: Up to 5% may be required.
