- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and support the clinical team through effective paper flow, communications, and record keeping.
- Perform related tasks as requested by the House Supervisor/Charge Nurse, such as answering phones, filing, audits, and performance improvement with limited supervision.
- Fax and/or mail appropriate documentation as needed.
- Safeguard confidentiality of patient-identifiable information in accordance with hospital policy.
- Refrain from discussing or releasing patient-identifiable information unless authorized.
- Collaborate with hospital personnel and medical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Assume additional duties as requested.
- Assist in patient care duties and rounds completion as assigned.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Current CPR certification
- Experience in a psychiatric setting preferred
- Positive interaction with patients whose behavior may be difficult, uncooperative, or aggressive.
- Adapt to varying workloads and assignments on a constant basis.
- Perform concentrated and/or complex mental activity in complex situations.
- Work successfully under highly stressful conditions.
- Make sound, independent judgments based on scientific and/or ethical principles.
- Comprehend and perform oral and written instructions and procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members appropriately.
- Effective reading, strong communication, written and verbal skills.
- Valid California Driver's License to transport patients and staff or drive hospital vehicles.

SalaryStarting from $21.00 to $26.00 an hour
